What’s Most Important to you?

Posted by Bonnie Limbird

The City of Prairie Village conducted a random sample survey of our citizens in Spring 2018. 704 households responded which was far beyond the City’s expectations. No surprise: PV residents are engaged!! 😀

You can find the whole report HERE, but the recurring theme throughout the analysis was that the major City service that respondents were least satisfied with (relative to other items) and feel should have the highest priority is maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and infrastructure. Also of note, of the options given, residents were least satisfied with the accessibility of streets, sidewalks and buildings for people with disabilities.

These findings, on top of my own observations of the streets, curbs, and sidewalks and the accessibility of all of the above in my own neighborhood, have informed my platform to focus on improved streetscapes for my time on Council. But I still want to hear from you. Since not everyone was surveyed in the random sample, I’ve created a simple poll below to see if Ward 3 agrees with these findings.

Please participate below! You can select up to 3.
