I refuse to think about (or participate in) black Friday, but I ❤️#ShopSmallSaturday, and I’m ALL about #GivingTuesday!

Shop Small Saturday is an annual holiday the weekend after Thanksgiving with the goal of reminding consumers that they play a key role in helping the small businesses in their community thrive and encouraging them to get out and shop and dine at local businesses. In other words, eschewing the big box and huge online retailers for the “mom & pop” around the corner.

Prairie Village has many shops perfect for dining, purchasing holiday decorations, and for gift-giving, such as:

• Hattie’s Coffee
• French Market
• Rimann Liquors
• Tyler Kingston Mercantile
• RSVP in the Village
• Growing Days Home
• and more right here in our Prairie Village Shops and Corinth Square!

But be sure to bring your mask to all shopping, dining, or other commercial businesses in Prairie Village, as it IS required to enter. You can also shop some of these stores from the comfort and safety of your home and sometimes arrange curbside pickup.

Giving Tuesday refers to the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and is a “global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.”

We can start here in Prairie Village by donating to the Prairie Village Municipal Foundation and helping those in need right here in our community.
