I have served in various volunteer and leadership positions within our local community and the Greater Kansas City area. This includes serving on Kansas state boards as public representatives to both the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions and the Kansas State Library Board, as President for the IIDA MidAmerica Chapter, holding executive committee board positions for the Johnson County Library Foundation and Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program, and being a founding member of the Belinder Elementary PTA Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Some of the transferable skills I’ve gained over these years include: surveying stakeholders, finding commonality & consensus building; strategic plan creation; volunteer management; evaluation, modification & establishment of community programs; RFP processes: writing, responding & evaluating; and fund development & community engagement.
